I got great news for all the musicians out there... my company is holding a contest for all musicians/bands/artists where the main prize is a complete music video production package worth $5000. Includes my services as the director/cinematographer. Plus the crew, including a make up artist. Also included are the camera, lights, and studio space. Umbrella Lights Tutorial

I just posted a new tutorial explaining the use of umbrella lights in glamour and fashion photography and music videos. The whole reason behind this tutorial started with questions from many aspiring cinematographer that I kept on getting regarding some of my previous work. Most of which was shot using the more expensive Briese lights. Unfortunately to many people, these lights are out of their price range, but I know from my past experience that a similar yet cost effective way to achieving that same look, is using simple umbrellas to bounce light back onto the subject. Hence the new tutorial!

The examples for this tutorial were shot during a recent video shoot for a new J.Reyez music video entitled "Little Miss Innocent". The video will be released soon. For now here is the tutorial.
